Casa Foa
2025
For the Casa FOA 2026 auditorium, I developed an immersive installation drawn from my De Raíz series. The project covered more than 900 m² of hand-painted canvas, transforming the architecture of the space into an enveloping work.
Taking the series' botanical universe as a starting point, the piece incorporated a higher-contrast, more intense palette to heighten the spatial experience. The abstract forms evoke trees, water lilies, and the irregular movements of nature, aiming to convey the calm that comes from inhabiting those landscapes.
As part of the installation, together with architect Guadalupe Diez, I designed a series of lamps using the same worked fabric. Suspended at the center of the auditorium, they hung like textile columns that organized the space, created a focal point, and reinforced the sense of immersion.
The work proposes that painting, light, and architecture stop functioning as separate elements and become one continuous experience — one in which visitors find themselves surrounded by an abstract landscape that invites them to slow down and contemplate.
